Volunteer Orientation to be Held at Portland Japanese Garden

Portland, Ore. – For those who have always wanted to volunteer to help out
at festivals and exhibitions, lead guided tours, or assist staff gardeners at
the Portland Japanese Garden, a Volunteer Orientation being held at the Garden
on March 10 is a great way to learn how to get involved. Veteran volunteers and
Volunteer Coordinator Stephanie Moss will share their experiences, answer
questions, and advise participants on upcoming volunteer opportunities at the
Garden.

“We have many wonderful ways for people to volunteer here at the
Garden,” said Stephanie Moss. “From being a gallery attendant during
our art exhibitions, to helping guests at the exquisite Moonviewing celebration,
to coloring with kids on Children’s Day—there are lots of great
opportunities to be a part of the Garden and its activities.”

The Volunteer Orientation will be on March 10 from 10:30am-Noon in the Garden
Pavilion. The event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required by
calling Stephanie at (503) 223-9233.

The Portland Japanese Garden has been proclaimed one of the most beautiful
