プライベートツアーを催行しています。昨年の第4回目のツア
ーでは、10月下旬から11月上旬にかけて12日間のツアーを
敢行しました。

この度、私どもの芸術・文化に関するパブリックプログラムで
は、新しいコンセプトが誕生しました。これから毎年、日本国
内の地域を一つ取り上げて、その土地の文化を皆様にご紹
介いたします。日本は小さな島国ですが、地域ごとに個性が
あり、様々な風土と習慣がそれぞれの土地に根付いていま
す。東京のような大都市には無い風習や方言、祭事、伝統工
芸、郷土料理が各地域にあり、南は亜熱帯気候の沖縄から
北は雪国の東北と北海道まで、この国には驚きが満ちてい
ます。ニホンザルから鶴、城下町から陶芸の村、スキーリゾー
トから現在でも手漉き和紙を作っている山間の村々まで、日
本には情緒豊かな文化が息づいています。

ポートランド日本庭園の施設拡張プロジェクトが完遂しグラ
ンドオープンして以来、多方面からその新施設に関して高い
評価をいただいております。世界中の出版物に取り上げてい
ただき、多くの賞をいただきましたこと、誠に光栄に存じます。
