Take part in the quiet reverence of the toro-nagashi ( 灯籠流し / lantern floating) with Reverend Kodachi.

O-Bon: Honoring Ancestral Spirits is a special gathering for Portland Japanese Garden members. Light lanterns in memory of loved ones, and set them afloat in the Upper Pond near the Moon Bridge. It is a truly unique and moving ceremony.

These evenings will be reserved for members only, taking place on Thursday, August 15 & Friday, August 16.
