O-Bon is a Japanese Buddhist custom and festival that commemorates and honors the spirits of the deceased. This year, we’ll observe this tradition virtually, through an Instagram livestream. A candle will be lit at the Peace Lantern at our Upper Pond, to honor loved ones we have lost. We’ll bring everyone together in spirit for a moment of silence. Those who join the livestream are welcome to submit the names of loved ones through the comments feature on Instagram.

For Members who may have submitted names of loved ones previously this year (prior to our in-person event getting canceled), we will be typing in those names on your behalf for the moment of silence.
