Renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma’s design moves our admission gate to the base of the hill and transforms the area above the parking lot into a Cultural Village with a floating, cantilevered Tea Café hanging over the hill path.

The Umami Café will serve authentic Japanese tea and provide a spot for visitors to rest and refresh. “The landscaping and the architectures are connected in a unique way,” said Kuma. “From here, people can see this café is floating on the hill… and feel a kind of intimate village starts from here,” he added.
